    MoHAP and WHO host scientific symposium on malaria control

    In cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) held a scientific symposium on malaria to discuss the latest global developments relating to the illness and to review the UAE’s effective strategy to prevent and control communicable diseases.

    MoHAP and WHO host scientific symposium on malaria controlDr. Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Under-Secretary for Public Health, attended the event in celebration of the country’s 15th anniversary of being malaria-free. Members of the WHO and its Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office attended, along with representatives from Tadweer Company, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) and the National Centre for Malaria Vector Control.
