    Jordan State Minister meets Egyptian Head of Media Regulation

    A delegation led by Egyptian Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) Head Karam Gabr was received by Jordan’s Minister of State for Media Affairs and government spokesperson Faisal Shboul. In the meeting, Shboul and Gabr emphasized the importance of strategic cooperation between Jordan and Egypt for King Abdullah II and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The importance of joint coordination and seeing eye-to-eye on various issues, especially Palestinian issues and frameworks of mutual cooperation, was stressed by Shboul. By launching joint initiatives to control content on social networking sites and reduce the media’s lost advertising profit, he expressed hope to boost bilateral cooperation in the media field.

    Various directives issued by President El-Sisi have always insisted that Jordan’s national security is integral to Egypt’s national security, and have emphasized the need for strengthening relations in various fields. In pointing to Jordan’s constant efforts to enhance Arab action and achieve regional stability and security, he praised Jordan’s continued support for Egypt and its stances.
